I recently bought a second hand spotty smock style dress and it turned out to be THE high street dress that absolutely everyone was wearing in 2019! I won’t tell you the brand because they’re not ethical so I wouldn’t buy new from them (and don’t want to promote them!).

it’s so comfy and such a good fit that I’m pretty much living in it! So… I want to make something similar.

I’ve had my eye on the Sudley dress by Megan Nielson for a while, but i’m not keen on the version pictured on the pattern itself…

So I took to Instagram to see some other versions. I love this one by @suzannemade and I would definitely go for the keyhole at the back neck option.

I also like this one by Lauren @guthrieghani. Adding length with tiered ruffles would make it more similar to my second hand dress.

When I finish knitting the Fynn cardigan, i’m planning to have a little sewing interlude before finishing Beardie's cardigan and my Isla jumper… or maybe casting on my every day cardie! So I just need to decide what to prioritise sewing-wise. Skirt or dress or skirt or dress?!
